so after being in iceland (and since before i went) i'd/i've been reading halldor laxness, y'know to get into the spirit of midnight suns, salt cured lamb, rotten fish treats etc. he's great. highly recommend him.
so anyway, i was doing a quick wikipedia search on his family life etc (y'know how much biography matters even though its not supposed to) and found out that his grandkids are all up in iceland's art scene: his grandaughter made a movie called 'christianity at the glacier' --of which i can't find even the smallest crumb on.
arguably more important though, is the work of DORI DNA, his awesome grandson:
if america was as small as iceland, imagine how many important/famous/cool relatives we'd all have!
