is hinged greatly on the voice over watersmooshness.
am i right?
sit back and watch as it unfolds
in case you were wondering, my affinity for the phrase 'you're a fool for this beat' is credited to this swizzyjam.
just a reminder that kanye west, vanessa beecroft + hype williams reside in the same universe
watch the whole thing. seriously.
listen, i always kinda liked them
but now, my chemical romance are actually awesome! in a late90s-early-00's-post-hives-sort-of-way:
big willie style is hereditary!
how phresh is this kid?
i mean duh, tho:
UPDATE! OFFICIAL VIDEO! IT GIVES DEM CHILLS!
big willie style is strong with this one.

dude's got staying power. and this is awesome, sooooo, maybe you're wrong.
um, i give you halldor laxness grandson
so after being in iceland (and since before i went) i'd/i've been reading halldor laxness, y'know to get into the spirit of midnight suns, salt cured lamb, rotten fish treats etc. he's great. highly recommend him.
so anyway, i was doing a quick wikipedia search on his family life etc (y'know how much biography matters even though its not supposed to) and found out that his grandkids are all up in iceland's art scene: his grandaughter made a movie called 'christianity at the glacier' --of which i can't find even the smallest crumb on.
arguably more important though, is the work of DORI DNA, his awesome grandson:
if america was as small as iceland, imagine how many important/famous/cool relatives we'd all have!

Thule
i've just returned from iceland. although they're fond of fermented shark (tastes like cheese in formaldehyde), this is their mayor. he's from 'the best party'. i have to agree.
sting's daughter likes white
and is a really good performer. there's a kate bushness to her movements by which i mean that she feels massively unselfconscious in the way that only someone who's lived their formative years in a barn with electric pianos and no siblings can.
marco brambilia you a fool for this!
but because kanye is such a proprietary dildo you can only watch those 2 minutes out of an EIGHT minute video. so instead here's this pretty great fan made video:
Kanye West, Power (New Album "Good Ass Job" 2010) from WE ARE FROM L.A on Vimeo.
more on MB here
worth coming back for

i have to agree.
i've waited my whole life for this moment:

friends who make (good) art are the best friends
my darling lynne , owner/runner/master of 'she works flexible now' has this AMAZING project titled 'breathing room' going on all the time via justin.tv.
Watch live video from breathingroom on Justin.tv
refresh often to see various views of the house etc etc etc. you can also enjoy a backlog of lynne activity. that said, i'm a huuuge fan of the live aspect of this piece.

i miss getting smooth to the groove
i cant wait to be done with school so i can get back to living like this:
watched this last night:
and boy was it awesome. it claims to be the first full length animated feature out there (1926!) and though the story gets maaad repetitive (how many times can the princess get kidnapped by the 'african magician' anyway?) its a visual wonder.
beautiful nightmare.
hey, she crazy, but pop matters, in evidence in the lyric "dont wanna wake up on you".
i mean...
i dont care if you care for them at all (which hey, there's plenty to discuss there), but you're stupid if you dont like this.
Ok, I've watched it twice now. I know that it's far from perfect, the Pussy Wagon schtick makes me want to die, but still, dem girls go at it with gusto and I'm not about to deny them agency in their bizarro representation/aesthetic sensibilities cus of the subtext of whats kind of a 10 min Tarantino BJ.

it's nice to know that diddy and i have yet one more thing in common...
...we're both trying to learn how to make music videos:
the 3 of us are basically the same person.
today i feel like the olsens must feel like when thinking back on their childhood. some questions we might share in:
"where did it all go?"
"what the hell am i doing now?"
"why cant i eat pizza the way i used to? y'know add some tacos, ole!"

a long time ago when we was fab.
so, as you too probably have done, i have been reconnecting with people i knew in high school through facebook. tonight when looking the profile of someone i havent talked to in 10 years, i was reminded of my dear friend peters band "sober daze".
so i naturally looked them up to see if they were up to something.
they were.
they are.
its this video.
and IM IN IT HOLY FUCKING SHIT.

deep down we're all the same...

first, someone sent me this :
and i was like, no way, that's just like:
and then this lady was all like:
and brawdwaybabe is clearly looking to move this to the live stage:
and i learned alot about what it means to be human in the year 2010.

when i see art like this...
it makes me want to quit (or stop for a couple of months, if im not being particularly babyish and indulgent) because someone already made something too beautiful for my brain to handle.
